Platinum in ecovaldis
EcoVadis provides a sustainability rating service for companies through a global software platform. The rating encompasses a wide range of non-financial management systems that analyze environmental impacts, labor practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable purchasing.
These assessments are evidence-based and provide scores ranging from zero to one hundred, as well as bronze, silver, or gold medals when applicable. At Almetac, we have achieved a platinum medal, meaning that in terms of environmental and corporate social responsibility, we rank as the top 1% among companies in our sector. This certification offers a comprehensive view of Almetac’s strengths in sustainability, as well as areas where we can continue to promote continuous improvement.
To date, EcoVadis has assessed over 75,000 business partners worldwide, effectively reducing risks for some of the world’s largest organizations and positively impacting environments while promoting transparency and driving innovation.
This year, we’ve decided to take a step further and begin measuring scope 3, which encompasses emissions not directly produced by the company itself but rather those produced by customers using the company’s products or suppliers manufacturing products used by the company.
This is the most challenging scope to address, but at Almetac, we’re aware that it’s often the most significant.
